A man identified as Gupta, a mason from Chhatarpur who had lived in a rented house in Gayatri Nagar for ten years, died after an incident involving an 11kV electrical wire. The incident occurred while he was reportedly spitting gutkha from his third-floor balcony.
It is believed that Gupta came into contact with the high-voltage wire, which can produce an electrical arc, allowing electricity to jump through the air if a balcony is close enough to the conductor. This contact led to his death.
Local residents and Padma Chidhar, the owner of the building, stated that they had made many complaints to officials about the high-tension wires being too close to their homes. They claim these requests were not addressed, even though assurances were given that the wires would be moved.

Electrical Safety
Electrical safety means taking precautions to prevent harm from electricity. High-voltage wires carry a lot of power and can be very dangerous. It's important to stay far away from them, as electricity can sometimes jump through the air, even without direct touch. Always report any concerns about electrical wires to the proper authorities.
Electrical Arc
An electrical arc is when electricity travels through the air, creating a bright flash and heat. This happens when the electrical voltage is very high, like in an 11kV line, and the distance between the electrical source and another object is small enough for the electricity to bridge the gap. It is extremely dangerous.
