Congressional Districts
A congressional district is a specific area within a state from which a member of the U.S. House of Representatives is elected. Each district has roughly the same number of people, and the person elected from that district represents those people in Congress. Winning a congressional district means a candidate will serve in the House of Representatives, helping to make federal laws.
